Description:

The Plumbago auriculata is a semi-evergreen shrub that can grow 1 to 3 meters (3 to 10 feet) tall and wide. It has a sprawling, spreading habit with woody stems and branches. The leaves are oval to heart-shaped, bright green, and 5 to 10 centimeters (2 to 4 inches) long. They are arranged alternately along the stems and have smooth margins. The plant produces clusters of phlox-like, sky-blue flowers that are tubular with five petals. The flowers are about 2.5 centimeters (1 inch) wide and bloom prolifically from spring to fall, attracting butterflies and other pollinators
