Description:
Chlorophytum comosum is a perennial herb that typically grows 30 to 60 centimeters (1 to 2 feet) tall and wide. It has arching, grass-like leaves that form a dense, attractive clump. The leaves are linear, narrow, and typically green with white or yellow variegation, although solid green varieties exist. They are 20 to 45 centimeters (8 to 18 inches) long and 1 to 2 centimeters (0.4 to 0.8 inches) wide. Also produces small, star-shaped white flowers on long, wiry stems (stolons) that extend beyond the foliage. These stems often develop plantlets (baby plants) that can root and form new plants.

Native to tropical and southern Africa. It has become a popular houseplant worldwide and is widely cultivated in various climates
